Dr. Mario Vella, Head of Malta Enterprise, visits the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies

Dr. Mario Vella, Head of Malta Enterprise, visited on March 13, 2014 the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies to speak with Professor Sarianna M. Lundan and the IWIM Professors Axel Sell and Karl Wohlmuth. Maren Hartstock represented the International Office of the Faculty, and staff from the central International Office of the University of Bremen was also available. Dr. Vella seeks advice and support for the newly established Institute for Foreign Direct Investment Studies (IFDIS) in Malta so as to build strategic partnerships with a global expert community working on investment. At the meeting the profile and the activities of the new institute were discussed, and potential areas for a mutually beneficial cooperation were outlined. 

Dr. Vella was part of the delegation of Malta’s President Dr. George Abela who met in Bremen with the President of the Senate of Bremen, Jens Böhrnsen and the Rector of the University of Bremen, Professor Dr. Bernd Scholz-Reiter. The President of Malta also visited the Malta Center at the University of Bremen.
